Study Advisor Job Details

As the Study Advisor, you will play a key role in the success and satisfaction of our students. You will guide students throughout the entirety of the their journey which begins from the moment they first set foot in our school (or give us a call), and are given a hearty welcome, to the moment they obtain their course completion diploma, and are duly celebrated.

The Study Advisor is a mentor who establishes regular contact with our students in order to encourage and motivate them to attend their classes and maximise their language acquisition. In the process, the Study Advisor monitors and collects information on student progress and grades which they share with the Service Manager and Course Coordinator in the form of periodic reports as well as verbal feedback.

 

Study Advisor duties include

  • Covering reception tasks (inbound and outbound phone calls, managing emails and the center calendar, welcoming and assisting clients, etc.);
  • Carrying out placement level checks both in person and over the phone;
  • Presenting the Wall Street English method and supporting students in their learning experience (at school and possibly at companies in the Monza Brianza region);
  • Providing study advice and motivating students towards their learning objective;
  • Booking classes, carrying out follow-up, and providing feedback on students’ progress;
  • Facilitating internal revenue via optimal customer service and support;
  • Working closely with Service Manager and Course Coordinator to create company reports and execute follow up of company students;
  • Supporting the center administrator for some simple accounting tasks.

 

Your Profile

  • Native or bilingual speaker of Italian & English* with valid EU working papers
  • University degree (completed or in progress)
  • Excellent computer skills (in particular, Excel*)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills (patient, responsible, and empathetic)
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally
  • Dynamic team player with a can-do attitude
  • Inspiring and supportive
  • Well presented

*These skills are absolutely essential and tests will be carried out to ascertain the candidate possesses these skills.

**The exact number of hours of the contract and shifts are in the process of deliberation. The shifts may be all morning shifts or may include some evenings.
